Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Gold Coast Tree Pros collects when you request a quote, why it is collected, and who it goes to. In short, your enquiry and photos are passed to one independent local tree business that services your zone so they can contact you, and your details are never sold.
Who we are
Gold Coast Tree Pros is operated by Jessy Hart Digital Marketing (ABN 52 475 086 324), a Queensland sole trader. Contact: [email protected].
Gold Coast Tree Pros is a referral service. It does not carry out tree work.
What we collect
When you submit the quote form, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and, if you give one, your email address.
- Your suburb, and your street name if you provide it. A full street address is not requested.
- Details of the job: the service type, your description, the tree height if given, access notes and how soon you need the work.
- Any photos you upload.
- Technical information for spam prevention and attribution: the page you submitted from, the referring website, any campaign parameters in the URL, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address.
We do not store your raw IP address. It is combined with a secret and hashed, and only the hash is kept, so that repeated submissions from one connection can be rate-limited without holding the address itself.
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites. It reports aggregate page views, referring sites, country and device type, and it does not use your name, phone number or the contents of your enquiry. There is no advertising pixel, no Google Analytics and no tracking cookie on this site.
Why we collect it
To pass your enquiry to one independent, licensed tree business so that they can contact you and prepare a quote, and to keep a record of the enquiry so it can be counted for billing and recovered if an email fails to deliver.
Who we disclose it to
Your enquiry first arrives with Gold Coast Tree Pros. We pass it on, with your photos, to one independent tree business that services your zone (North, Central or South Gold Coast, depending on your suburb), which contacts you directly. We do not name the business on this page because it depends on your suburb and on which businesses are active at the time. The business will identify itself when it contacts you, and you can email us to ask which business your enquiry was passed to.
Your information is not sold, and it is not disclosed to any other party for marketing. We do not provide it to data brokers, lead aggregators or any other tree business.
We may disclose information where we are required to by law.
Overseas disclosure
Two service providers process your information, and both may do so outside Australia:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site, runs the form handler, stores the enquiry record and provides spam protection and analytics.
- Resend delivers the enquiry by email, including any photos you upload as attachments.
By submitting the form you consent to your information being handled by these providers, which may involve storage or processing outside Australia.
Your enquiry is not sent to any other third party besides the services named above and the tree business it is passed to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months from the date of the enquiry and then delete them, unless we are required by law to keep them longer. Records are deleted by hand at regular intervals rather than by an automatic job, and you can ask us to delete yours earlier.
Photos are not stored on this site or in our database. They travel as email attachments, so copies sit in the mailboxes that receive them, and our email delivery provider may hold them for a short period under its own settings.
Automated decision-making
Enquiries are routed by simple fixed rules, not by profiling. There is no automated decision-making that produces a legal effect for you or that significantly affects you.
Access and correction
You can ask what information we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Note that once your enquiry has been passed to the tree business, they hold their own copy, and you will need to contact them directly about records they hold.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy has been mishandled, contact us first at [email protected] and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Marketing
The form sends one thing: your enquiry to the tree business. There is no marketing opt-in on this site, and submitting the form does not subscribe you to anything.
